El guardian de mi hermano :
Personas de fe confrontant crimenes de odio
나의 형제를 지키는 파수꾼:
믿음의 사람들은 증오범죄를 대적합니다
Following the successful November 2010 My Brother’s Keeper symposium on hate crimes, at which 150 people gathered to educate ourselves about hate crimes and to articulate a Christian response and a Christian imperative to respond, organizers of the symposium have compiled a video from the event and written a study guide to accompany it.
The video and study guide, together with resource materials researched and prepared for the symposium, are available for congregations interested in deepening their own awareness and witness against hate violence and the biases and prejudices that feed it. The resource materials from the event are also available here (see below).
Order the video, study guide and resource packet online.
Download a PDF order form that you can mail in.
Photos from the November symposium.
The full program in English from the event. And in Spanish. And Korean.
What the symposium made to clear to all who participated was that the event itself was only the beginning. We need to take what we learned back to our congregations and communities, to continue to build relationships across communities and to challenge ourselves and our conference to speak out and witness against hate, intolerance and all forms of violence.
Below you will find a list of resources for this work.
This is a communal journey and we are here to help each other figure out next steps; offer courage and encouragement to each other as we take scary, difficult steps; and celebrate progress and successes. Please use the My Brother’s Keeper Facebook page as on ongoing community discussion board to share ideas, challenges, resources, victories, setbacks, words of hope and commitment.
